How do I register on behalf of someone?

Use this guide if you need to complete forms or activities for a child, family member, or someone who cannot use a device themselves.

When would I need to do this?

You might register on behalf of someone else if:

  • You are a parent completing forms for your child

  • You are a family member or carer helping someone who cannot use a device

  • You and another person share a single mobile phone number


Before you start

You will need to have received an invitation message (SMS or email) from the hospital or clinic. The invitation is sent to your mobile number or email address.

If you have not received an invitation, contact your hospital or clinic and ask them to send one to your mobile number or email address.


Step 1 - Open the registration link

Tap the link in your invitation message. On the registration screen, find the question "Who are you registering for today?" and select "On behalf of someone else".


Step 2 - Create or enter your password

Enter a password in both password fields. Read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, tick the checkbox to accept, then tap Register. If you already have an account you will be asked to enter your existing password. If you have forgotten follow these steps to reset your password.


Step 3 - Enter your details and the other person’s details

On the next screen you will see two sections:

  • Your details - enter your own first name, last name, and date of birth

  • Patient/user details - enter the first name, last name, and date of birth of the other person who is receiving the services from the provider.

For example, if Jane is registering for her son John, Jane fills in her own details at the top and John’s details below.

Tap Next when you are done.


Step 4 - Complete the pathway

From this point on, you will be completing activities and forms on behalf of the other person. You will see a banner at the top of each page reminding you whose account you are working in.


Switching between accounts

If both you and the other person have active pathways (for example, two people sharing a mobile number), you will see both pathways listed on the home screen.

Tap the pathway you want to open. The top of the screen will show whose account you are in, and you can switch between them from there.


Frequently asked questions

I didn't receive the registration message.
Contact your hospital or clinic and ask them to send the invitation to your mobile number or email address.

I entered the wrong date of birth for the patient. Can I fix it?
You cannot change these details yourself after submitting. Contact your hospital or clinic to request a correction - they will update the details on your behalf.

I can only see my own pathway, not the other person's.
If the other person has not been invited yet, their pathway will not appear. Contact your hospital or clinic to check whether an invitation has been sent for them.

The system is only asking me to register for myself, not on behalf of someone else.
Make sure you select "On behalf of someone else" at the very first step before tapping Register. If that option is not appearing, contact your hospital or clinic - this option may need to be enabled for your account.

I want to switch to the other person's pathway but can't find how.
Tap the back or home button to return to the pathway list. Both pathways should be listed there. If you can only see one, contact your hospital or clinic.
